In this poem, the budding flower means youth.

The trees are budding early this year.

Seen here at high magnification is a microabscess in lung containing numerous budding cells and pseudohyphae characteristic for Candida.

They grow as single cells that reproduce by asexual budding and oval or round in shape. Some yeast produce chains of elongated cells (pseudohypha) that resemble the mycelium of molds.
